NEW SINGLE RELEASE – ‘A FAIRYTALE TO REMEMBER’

‘A Fairytale to Remember,’ is a haunting and beautiful experimental rock song with pop chamber influences. Inspired by the story of Cinderella, the song describes the modern issues of ‘love’ and the expectations of what we dream about. Conceptualising reality and dream, “no romantic bliss, or true loves kiss, to save the world”, pulls us away from the fantasies we see through a lens to escape the monochrome life we live. Instrumentally, Lina brings out the mystical ambience through the static electronic synths in the opening of her track, to the eerie allure that the strings bring out as they are smoothly introduced within the first verse. As the song progresses, more of the experimental ‘rock’ begins to flourish through the hard to miss electric guitar which has moments to show off within the song, whilst the drums and bass are complimented by the chamber influences of percussion with the use of the timpani. Lina was fortunate to work with a variety of different musicians including Harry Blenman on drums, Andrew Liang on violin and Marco Reynaldo on electric guitar. Lina also heavily worked with Neal Sutherland (who has produced for Mac Miller) in the production, mix and mastering of the song. With release date arriving soon, Lina begins production on the music video to bring her vision to life.
